Our Aim

Our online Summer STEM Academy will aim to create partnerships between universities, schools and business. It will increase the opportunity for student & probationer teachers to become more familiar with how sciences are taught and developed in primary & secondary education; and enable schools and communities to gain a greater awareness of current research and career prospects in STEM subjects.

  • develop STEM activities that parents and pupils can use at home
  • create stronger engagement with our local communities
  • enhance career opportunities for pupils and students
  • develop strong partnerships for educational collaboration
  • encourage senior pupils to participate in a mentoring and training programme
  • promote current research and innovation into communities
