Our online Summer STEM Academy will aim to create partnerships between universities, schools and business. It will increase the opportunity for student & probationer teachers to become more familiar with how sciences are taught and developed in primary & secondary education; and enable schools and communities to gain a greater awareness of current research and career prospects in STEM subjects.
To be more specific this innovative new online programme that aims to:
bring together student teachers, STEM-subject academics and school pupils
provide student teachers and pupils with industry and science experience
bring teachers and school pupils into an academic environment aligned with industry
develop STEM activities that parents and pupils can use at home
create stronger engagement with our local communities
enhance career opportunities for pupils and students
develop strong partnerships for educational collaboration
encourage senior pupils to participate in a mentoring and training programme
promote current research and innovation into communities
